Preparing you for the world of work

We want young people in our region to have access to employers at an early stage, so that you can learn about the different jobs that exist and the different routes into them.

Our coordinators support all the secondary schools in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We work closely with them - and with other school partners - to build industry links. The activities we organise include mock interviews, classroom presentations, site visits to an employer's premises and careers fairs.

There's lots of additional help available, as outlined below.

Explore your options

My World of Work is a website from Skills Development Scotland (SDS). It can help you gain an insight into how your subjects and skills can lead to different pathways. You can also talk to a careers adviser from SDS.
