Score Group, a specialist in valve and precision manufacturing services, has formalised its influencing partnership with Peterhead Academy during a recent meeting.
Stevie Wilson, global apprenticeship manager, pictured above right said: "As a large employer in Peterhead we have employed many pupils from Peterhead Academy over the years. We wish the academy to be effective and deliver high-quality learning experiences to our future up and coming talent. As one of the school’s strategic partners we offer career information, tours, guest speakers and work experience to pupils to help them understand the world of work, develop a work ethic and build confidence.”
Head teacher, Gerry McCluskey, expressed his delighted on behalf of the school, saying: "As an influencing partner the company are providing opportunities for our young people to develop the skills the require to be successful in life; supporting our Maths and Technical faculties with contextualised curricular content delivery, as well as consulting on curriculum structure and development. In addition, Score are able to support our school and wider community through the provision of careers advice and work placements which help develop our young workforce in Peterhead.”
