Overview

A small team from Morrison Construction visited various schools throughout the region during November and December as part of their annual construction careers roadshow.

Company representatives shared some background about the sector. They also provided information about their own business and the types of opportunities Morrison Construction can offer young people.

Results and effectiveness

Pupils who attended the sessions had been identified as having a genuine interest in a career in construction. The presentations gave them an insight into the different roles and day-to-day workings within Morrison Construction. There were opportunities for pupils to ask questions and to share their own potential areas of interest.

Additional benefits

Pupils learned about the entry-level opportunities that Morrison Construction will be offering in 2024.

Those who were interested were invited to apply for a work experience placement, so that they could gain a taster of what being an apprentice at Morrison Construction is like.
